Tell the EPA, the White House & the Army Corps of Engineers to close Clean Water Act loopholes!

Mining corporations are using two Clean Water Act loopholes to dump their toxic mining waste directly into the waters we all rely on. In the process, these multinational companies are turning some of America’s most pristine lakes and streams into industrial waste dumps. Tell the White House, the EPA and the Army Corps of Engineers that our water is more precious than copper and silver!  Take action and urge them to close the Clean Water Act loopholes that allow multinational mining corporations to use our clean waters as toxic mine waste dumps.

Follow the Watchdog Blog

We plan to have multiple contributors to our Watchdog Blog, but mainly it will be by the same one or two people. We will use the blog to post stories that we feel are important to our mission and that deserve more space than a post on Facebook or Twitter. We think that some stories need more commentary than is afforded by social media. It also allows us to post an important story without mailing out an entire newsletter. Please share our short film “Mining Patagonia” with your friends and family.  Through interviews with residents of Patagonia, this short documentary explores the issues & consequences that an open pit mine would impose on this environmentally rich yet fragile town. Filmmaker Michele Gisser, produced for PARA. Watch the film.
